Artificial Stone Coatings

Artificial stone coatings are a type of ready-made coating produced in certain sizes and shapes consisting of Portland Cement, marble rice, oxide paint, water and sand as binders. These generally consist of a wear layer and a substrate. It is fixed on the floor (zemin kaplama) with cement mortar. In recent years, such coatings have been produced with polymer resins as binders.

Paving: Tiles are floor covering materials produced in the form of tiles using sand and oxide paints. The upper surface layer, which is the wear surface of the tiles, is made with 500 kg / m³ and the lower layer is made with 250 kg / m³ mortar. Oxide dyes are used to color, the desired pattern and texture can be given. It is pressed into plates. When produced with high pressure presses in steel molds, it has high abrasion resistance and less water absorption.

Tile mosaic: Tile mosaic consists of a wear layer such as a tile and a filling layer underneath. It is prepared by pressing into tiles from tile mosaic mortar. Wear layer about 1 cm. thick. It consists of a mixture of white and colored stone chips, marble dust, paint, cement and water. In tile mosaics, the rules for laying all rigid tiles are followed and mortared flooring is made. After the coating has completely dried, polish should be applied on the tiles to prevent contamination. In some applications, different visual effects are created by placing metals between tiles or by making wide joints in colors generally contrasting with the color of the tile.

Cast mosaic: It is a floor coating systems made by placing mosaic rice into cast mosaic cement. Before laying the mosaic, an average of 3 cm. thick, 200 kg cement dose leveling concrete is laid. On top of that, a mosaic layer made of cement and an abrasion-resistant stone rice mortar is laid and compacted. After hardening, the surface is mechanically abraded and the grains in its structure are revealed. 57 The cast mosaic floor covering has low abrasion, its density is 2000 kg / m3, its compressive strength is 20 MPa, and its flexural strength is 3 MPa. It is a dust-free floor covering provided that it is maintained. It is generally waterproof. Different effects can be achieved with the appropriate selection of the size and colors of the stone pieces used. Because it is hard, it generates noise and transmits impact sound. It is a cold contact material. Provided it is well polished and kept clean, it can resist electric current.
